NADRA Opens Fifth Mega Center in Karachi’s Surjani Town to Enhance Citizen Services

Karachi: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has inaugurated its fifth Mega Center in Karachi at Surjani Town, further expanding access to essential identity and registration services for millions of residents. The opening also marks the establishment of eight new NADRA centers in Karachi within the past year.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Sindh Governor Syed Nehal Hashmi, along with NADRA Director General Amir Ali Khan, local dignitaries, and senior NADRA officials.

The newly established Mega Center features 20 one-window service counters and has the capacity to serve approximately 2,500 to 3,000 citizens daily. The facility will remain operational 24 hours a day, six days a week, ensuring greater convenience and accessibility for the public.

According to NADRA officials, the center is expected to directly benefit nearly four million residents of Surjani Town, New Karachi, Gulshan-e-Maymar, Taiser Town, Ahsanabad, North Karachi, and Manghopir Town.

To improve customer experience, the Mega Center includes a fully air-conditioned waiting area with seating capacity for 200 people. Dedicated service counters have been established for Thalassemia patients, senior citizens, Pak ID services, succession certificates, and arms license processing, enabling faster and more organized service delivery.

In addition, iris recognition devices have been installed to assist citizens facing difficulties with fingerprint verification, ensuring that individuals with biometric authentication issues can access NADRA services without unnecessary delays.

The launch of the Surjani Town Mega Center reflects NADRA’s continued commitment to modernizing public service delivery and expanding access to secure identity management services across Karachi.
