ISLAMABAD: A delegation from Greenwich University, led by Chancellor Dr. Seema Mughal and accompanied by Director Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) Dr. Rab Nawaz, met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Pakistan, His Excellency Khazar Farhadov, in Islamabad to explore opportunities for academic collaboration and educational partnerships between the two countries.
During the meeting, both sides discussed ways to strengthen educational ties between Pakistan and Azerbaijan through institutional cooperation, academic exchange programs, and collaborative initiatives aimed at enhancing higher education standards.
Ambassador Khazar Farhadov assured the Greenwich University delegation of his full support and facilitation in establishing partnerships with leading universities in Azerbaijan. He emphasized the importance of fostering academic linkages through Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs), joint academic programs, collaborative research projects, student and faculty exchange initiatives, language promotion activities, internships, and socio-cultural and educational visits.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Seema Mughal highlighted several potential areas for future collaboration. She proposed the development of 2+2 academic pathway programs, the introduction of Greenwich Universitys Pre-University Foundation Program, educational development and capacity-building initiatives, and broader access to international qualifications.
Dr. Mughal also identified teacher training, curriculum development, quality assurance, and quality enhancement as key sectors where institutions from Pakistan and Azerbaijan could collaborate for mutual growth and academic excellence.
The meeting concluded on a positive note, with both sides expressing a strong commitment to promoting academic cooperation and strengthening educational partnerships between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Dr. Seema Mughal presented a commemorative memento of Greenwich University to Ambassador Khazar Farhadov as a gesture of goodwill and appreciation, marking the beginning of what both parties hope will be a fruitful and long-term academic relationship.
