Naya Nazimabad Management has released a clarification regarding the recent incident involving the disappearance of a two-year-old child from the community, denying any security negligence and urging the public to refrain from spreading misinformation.
The incident occurred around 8:30 pm on July 18, when the child went missing from Block A1, House No. A1-16. The family promptly contacted the police after failing to locate the child, prompting an investigation.
CCTV footage revealed that the child left the premises with an unidentified individual known to him, and he willingly accompanied this person. The child was safely recovered about a day later.
The management emphasized that the incident could not have occurred had the child not voluntarily gone with someone familiar. The police continue to investigate to determine the exact circumstances and any potential criminal liability.
Naya Nazimabad expressed concern over what it termed a coordinated disinformation campaign on social media following the incident, alleging that certain individuals and groups spread false narratives within 24 hours, unfairly blaming the community’s security system before the investigation concluded.
The CEO of Naya Nazimabad Maintenance Company (NNMC) stated that all entry and exit records, along with complete video footage, have been preserved for law enforcement. Legal action has been initiated against those spreading defamatory and misleading content, and defamation lawsuits have been filed against individuals responsible for the malicious campaign. The management reiterated its commitment to transparency and public safety, stating that while criticism has been tolerated, it will seek compensation for reputational damage caused by false allegations.
