KARACHI: District West Police have safely recovered two-year-old Azan Ali Khan, who was allegedly kidnapped from Naya Nazimabad two days ago, in a successful operation carried out near Thatta.
According to police, the child was abducted by a motorcycle-riding suspect from the jurisdiction of Manghopir Police Station in Naya Nazimabad. A kidnapping case was registered immediately after the incident, prompting an intensive investigation.
Acting on confidential intelligence, Manghopir Police conducted a targeted operation near Thatta and recovered the child unharmed. Investigators said the successful rescue was made possible through the analysis of CCTV footage, intelligence gathering, and other available evidence.
Police stated that after the completion of legal formalities, the child will be handed over to his parents. Meanwhile, efforts are underway to identify and arrest the suspect or suspects involved in the kidnapping.
While the safe recovery of the child has been widely welcomed, observers have stressed that the investigation must continue until all those responsible are brought to justice. They emphasized that the arrest and prosecution of the kidnappers are essential not only to ensure justice for the victim’s family but also to deter future child abduction cases and reinforce public confidence in law enforcement.
