Karachi: Greenwich University, in collaboration with the Sindh Higher Education Commission, is set to host an international conference on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) this Saturday at its Karachi campus.
The high-profile event is expected to transcend the boundaries of a traditional academic gathering by offering a comprehensive exploration of Pakistans social fabric. According to organizers, the initiative seeks to reframe the countrys diversity as a strategic national strength rather than a challenge.
The conference will convene prominent scholars, practitioners, academicians, and thought leaders from across the globe to deliberate on pressing issues, share best practices, and develop innovative approaches for promoting inclusive and equitable environments in various sectors.
A series of thematic sessions has been planned to encourage meaningful dialogue and knowledge exchange at both national and international levels. Key discussion areas will include socio-cultural cohesion and nation-building, systems of equity, access to justice, inclusive participation, institutional practices, intergenerational justice, and the reimagining of DEI within Pakistans context.
In addition, the conference will address critical topics such as human rights, interfaith harmony, minority rights, and challenges faced by gender minorities in the country.
On the sidelines of the event, Greenwich University will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission to strengthen collaboration in vocational training and capacity-building initiatives.
