A tragic accident occurred near NEPA Hydrant in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 6 when an inexperienced water tanker driver ran over an 18-year-old laborer, killing him on the spot. The deceased, identified as Kaleemullah, son of Miran, was working at the hydrant at the time of the incident.
According to police reports, the driver was operating water tanker number C-2803 at high speed when he lost control and fatally struck Kaleemullah, who was installing a pipe with his cousin, Hafiz Rizwan. The driver fled the scene, abandoning the tanker.

Kaleemullah hailed from Zhob district in Balochistan and was residing in a room within the hydrant premises.
In related incidents across the city, two more people lost their lives due to traffic accidents involving water tankers, and another was injured. Additionally, two unidentified bodies were recovered from different areas, raising concerns over road safety and the rising number of traffic-related fatalities.
Authorities are urging stricter regulations on tanker drivers and improved enforcement of traffic laws to prevent further tragedies.
