KARACHI: Sindh Police have stepped up efforts to locate Fayyaz Ahmed Sangi, the missing son of senior journalist and senior member of the Karachi Press Club, Sohail Sangi, following directives from Inspector General (IG) Sindh Javed Alam Odho.
According to the spokesperson for the IG Sindh, police authorities have remained in continuous contact with Sohail Sangi to gather all necessary information and details related to the disappearance. Relevant police units are actively pursuing all available leads and taking comprehensive measures to trace Fayyaz Ahmed Sangi.
The spokesperson said that, on the instructions of the IG Sindh, Additional IG Karachi is personally supervising the case. Concerned officers have been directed to ensure prompt and effective action to expedite the search operation.
Sindh Police have also assured senior journalist Sohail Sangi, his family, civil society, the journalist community, and other stakeholders of their full cooperation and commitment to recovering the missing individual as quickly as possible.
Authorities have reiterated that every possible effort is being made to locate Fayyaz Ahmed Sangi and that the investigation remains a top priority.
