Interior Minister Orders Sweeping Reforms to Boost FIAs Fight Against Illegal Immigration

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has directed immediate legal and operational reforms aimed at enhancing the Federal Investigation Agencys (FIA) capabilities in combating illegal immigration and other transnational crimes.

Chairing a high-level meeting in Islamabad, Naqvi emphasized the urgency of revamping the FIA through a comprehensive restructuring plan. He called for swift legislative amendments to empower the agency with stronger legal tools to tackle modern criminal networks and migration rackets.

As part of the reforms, the minister approved the rapid procurement of advanced technological tools and modern weaponry for FIA personnel. In addition, performance-based incentives will be introduced to boost operational efficiency and morale among officers.
