SHC Chief Justice Zafar Ahmed Rajput Visits Sindh Judicial Academy, Reviews Training and Development Facilities

KARACHI: The Honourable Chief Justice of the Sindh High Court and Chairman, Board of Governors, Sindh Judicial Academy, Mr. Justice Zafar Ahmed Rajput, visited the Sindh Judicial Academy on August 22, 2026, where he reviewed the institutions training facilities, technological infrastructure and ongoing development projects.

The Honourable Chief Justice was warmly received by Director General, Sindh Judicial Academy, Justice (Retd.) Mrs. Rashida Asad, along with faculty members and staff of the Academy.

During his visit, Justice Zafar Ahmed Rajput inspected various departments and facilities, including the IT Department, classrooms and the E-Learning Centre. He reviewed the available resources and ongoing academic and training activities aimed at enhancing the professional capabilities of members of the judiciary.

The Chief Justice stressed the importance of specialized training for judges serving in Banking Courts, Labour Courts, Customs Courts and Inland Revenue Courts. He also highlighted the need for focused training in medico-legal matters as well as digital and medical forensics to enable judges to effectively deal with increasingly complex cases.

Justice Zafar Ahmed Rajput further emphasized that judicial training should give due importance to ethics and appropriate court behaviour. He observed that training programmes should focus more on practical skills and professional development rather than being confined primarily to theoretical instruction.

The Honourable Chief Justice also visited the under-construction building of the Sindh Judicial Academy and inspected different sections of the facility. He took keen interest in the ongoing construction and development work, as well as the future facilities planned to strengthen the Academys capacity for judicial education and professional training.

The visit provided an opportunity to review the Sindh Judicial Academys continuing efforts to improve its infrastructure, technology, classrooms and institutional facilities. The emphasis on specialized and practical training reflects the Academys role in supporting professional development and strengthening the effectiveness of the judicial system in Sindh.
