Police clarified that Sahir was not linked to the murder but was charged separately with alleged narcotics possession and trafficking after authorities claimed to have recovered 557 grams of cannabis and accused him of operating a drug supply network targeting university students through online platforms.
Sajid Hasan has consistently denied the allegations against his son, alleging that police obtained a false confession through coercion and describing the case as a conspiracy against his family. The Sindh High Court later granted Sahir Hasan bail against a surety bond of Rs1 million after more than two months in judicial custody.
