Karachi: Canvas Gallery has opened “The Invisible Collapse,” a thought-provoking group exhibition featuring the works of four contemporary Pakistani artists who explore themes of marginalization, identity, and social exclusion through their distinctive artistic practices.
The exhibition examines how individuals navigate being marginalized by the very societies to which they belong. Addressing issues such as disability, ethnicity, gender, geography, and politics, the participating artists present diverse perspectives through their unique visual languages and creative mediums.
“The Invisible Collapse” also reflects on society’s growing tendency to disconnect from issues that do not directly affect individuals, resulting in increasing social fragmentation and desensitization. Through powerful artistic expression, the exhibition encourages visitors to reflect on empathy, inclusion, and the invisible barriers that continue to divide communities.
The participating artists include Attiya, originally from Lahore and now based in Karachi; Rabia, a Karachi-born artist residing in the city; Maisam, originally from Parachinar and currently based in Lahore; and Hussain, who hails from Quetta and is also currently living in Lahore.
The exhibition will remain open to the public until Thursday, July 23, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with Sundays closed.
“The Invisible Collapse” offers visitors an opportunity to engage with contemporary art that challenges social perceptions while promoting dialogue on inclusion, diversity, and shared humanity.
