UMERKOT: The Ambassador of the United States of America, Ms. Natalie A. Baker, paid a visit to the Thar Museum located at the historic Umerkot Fort, where she was warmly received by the forts administration.
The management ensured full protocol and stringent security arrangements during the visit. The ambassador toured various sections of the museum and was briefed on the historical importance of the fort and the cultural legacy of the Thar region.
Ms. Baker appreciated the efforts of the Antiquities Department, Government of Sindh, for its commitment to preserving and promoting the provinces rich cultural and archaeological heritage.
As a mark of traditional hospitality, the Curator of Umerkot Fort presented the distinguished guest with a Sindhi Ajrak and Lungi.
The visit highlighted the importance of international interest in Pakistans historical sites and the continued work to safeguard them for future generations.
