China-Pakistan TVET Center Hosts Event to Boost Educational Cooperation and Chinese Language Localization

The China-Pakistan TVET Industrial Center of Excellence (CPTICE) held a significant event at the Government College of Technology, Kareemabad, Karachi, titled “Deepening Educational Cooperation and Advancing the Localization of Chinese Language Education.” The gathering, organized in collaboration with TANG International Education and Technology, underscored the growing academic and vocational partnership between China and Pakistan under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training, Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, attended the event as the Chief Guest. In his keynote address, Dr. Siddiqui emphasized the importance of self-empowerment for national transformation, stating, Only those nations change that have the power to change themselves. He also addressed the double-edged impact of rapid technological advancement, particularly the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in reshaping the global job market by both creating and eliminating jobs.

Highlighting Pakistans demographic potential, Dr. Siddiqui called the countrys youth bulge a strategic national asset that must be harnessed through education, skills training, and targeted opportunities to ensure a productive future. He also made a strong call for gender equality, asserting, Women are a very important part of this society and should be provided with equal opportunities. They must not be suppressed due to misinterpretations of religion by those lacking true understanding.
