Islamabad to Karachi Flight Showcases Positive Changes in National Carriers Services
Renowned TV host, anchor, pilot, and performing artist Fakhr-e-Alam recently shared a surprisingly positive experience onboard Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight PK309 from Islamabad to Karachi, highlighting notable improvements in the airlines inflight customer experience.
Taking to social media, Fakhr-e-Alam praised PIA for introducing inflight entertainment accessible via personal devicesa feature many travelers had long hoped for. “To my surprise, they announced inflight entertainment using our own devices. So I tested it out,” he said.
Alam reported that the connection was stable and the interface user-friendly. The onboard entertainment, known asDREAMSTREAM, offered a decent selection of content, including popular titles likeFRIENDS, the filmGRAVITY, and a documentary on Karachi. The sound quality on my EarPods was solid, he noted.
This wasnt Alams first positive encounter with the national carrier in recent weeks. Just last month, he flew the same route on a new PIA aircraft featuring a clean interior and extra legroom in all rowsanother welcome upgrade.
Known for his candid criticism of poor customer service, Fakhr-e-Alam emphasized that these small but meaningful changes indicate improvement. “One must appreciate all the little steps towards improvement,” he remarked. “These things show that privatization is not the only answer. Improve customer experience and treat revenue customers with respect.”
His message to the national carrier and aviation authorities was clear: consistent, customer-focused enhancements can restore public confidence. Small steps in the right direction can give very good results. Better late than never.
