Meethadar Police in Karachis District City have apprehended a five-member gang involved in multiple incidents of motorcycle theft across the city.
During an intelligence-based, targeted operation led by SDPO Kharadar, police arrested the suspects from within Meethadar police limits. The accused have been identified as Danish, Ali Hasan, Jawad, Shamsuddin, and Muhammad Aamir. According to police sources, Danish is the ringleader of the group.
The operation led to the recovery of six stolen motorcycles and eight motorcycle chassis. The suspects were reportedly stealing motorcycles from parking areas, after which they would either sell the bikes using fabricated running papers or dismantle and sell the parts separately.
One of the recovered motorcycles, bearing registration number KBN-0965, was linked to FIR No. 47/2025, registered under Section 381A at Meethadar Police Station. Investigations are currently underway to trace the origins of the other recovered vehicles.
The suspects have allegedly been operating in various parts of the city and are now being handed over to the Anti-Vehicle Lifting Cell (AVLC) for further legal proceedings and interrogation.
This successful police action underscores the ongoing efforts of Karachi Police to combat organized vehicle theft and improve public safety across the city.
