Karachi, Pakistan – The Transport and Mass Transit Department of the Sindh Government has announced a new initiative to empower women and improve their mobility. The Sindh Government will distribute free electric Pink EV Scooties to eligible women across the province.

The program aims to provide women with greater independence and ease of transportation.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Applicants must be permanent residents of Sindh province.
• Applicants must be either students or employed women.
• Applicants must possess a valid motorcycle or car driving license.
• Successful applicants must commit to not sell or rent out the provided scooty for at least seven years.
• Selected women will be required to pass a road safety skill test.

The Sindh Mass Transit Authority will conduct free training programs across Sindh to provide women with comprehensive driving education.

Scooty Distribution Guidelines:

• The distribution of EV scooties will be conducted through a transparent lottery system.
• The lottery process will be overseen by a committee to ensure fairness. Representatives from print and electronic media will be present.
