Karachi: PakSuzuki Motor Company has announced a sudden price hike for its popular hatchback, the Suzuki Swift GL MT, in Pakistan. The price has been increased by Rs. 80,000, taking it from Rs. 4,336,000 to Rs. 4,416,000. The new price has officially come into effect from April 26, 2025.
According to company officials, the Suzuki Swift GL MT remains one of Suzukis most popular models in the Pakistani market. However, industry experts suggest that the price increase may impact market competitiveness, especially at a time when rising car prices and the country’s ongoing economic challenges have already led to a noticeable decline in consumer demand.
This is not the first time Suzuki has revised its prices this year. In February 2025, the company raised the price of its smallest model, the Suzuki Alto, by Rs. 120,000. The company had justified the hike by citing the introduction of new features aimed at enhancing the driving experience and improving safety standards. Following the price increase, an upgraded version of the Alto was also launched.
Given this trend, there is growing speculation that significant updates and new features may soon be introduced for the Suzuki Swift as well.
