KARACHI: Al Shaheer Corporation Limited has disclosed that the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has ordered the suspension of a proposed acquisition of more than 53.50% of the issued and paid-up share capital and control of Al Shaheer Corporation Limited.
According to a disclosure dated August 13, 2026, the company said it had received an SECP Order dated August 10, 2026, issued under Section 125 of the Securities Act, 2015, in connection with the Public Announcement of Intention dated June 30, 2026.
The company had previously informed the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on July 3, 2026, about the Public Announcement of Intention concerning the proposed acquisition.
Under the latest SECP order, the proposed acquisition of voting shares and control of Al Shaheer Corporation Limited will remain suspended until further orders of the Commission.
Al Shaheer Corporation requested the Pakistan Stock Exchange to inform the TRE Certificate Holders of the development accordingly.
The SECP’s order temporarily puts the proposed change in ownership and control on hold, pending further directions from the regulator.
