KARACHI: The Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) has achieved its highest-ever annual revenue collection, recording Rs. 370.064 billion during the fiscal year 2025-26, setting a new benchmark in the province’s tax administration.
The record-breaking collection exceeded the annual target of Rs. 362 billion and represented a 20.17 percent year-on-year growth compared to the Rs. 307.930 billion collected during the previous fiscal year (2024-25).
According to the SRB, the milestone was achieved despite a challenging macroeconomic environment marked by sluggish economic growth and the adverse effects of regional conflicts during the latter half of the financial year.
The board attributed the achievement to the collective efforts of its workforce, strong institutional support from the Government of Sindh, and improved cooperation and compliance from taxpayers. Officials said the coordinated approach enabled the organization to maintain steady revenue growth despite economic headwinds.
Looking ahead to FY 2026-27, the SRB has outlined an ambitious agenda focused on broadening the tax base, strengthening voluntary tax compliance, and accelerating the digital transformation of tax administration. These initiatives are aimed at improving efficiency, enhancing transparency, and ensuring sustainable revenue growth while addressing future economic challenges.
The record collection underscores the SRB’s continued efforts to strengthen Sindh’s fiscal position and support the province’s public finance system through improved tax administration and taxpayer engagement.
