Karachi: Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS), through the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology Unit-I, Dow Medical College, Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK), successfully organized a Hands-on Workshop on Hysteroscopy on 4 July 2026 at the Main Hall of the Professional Development Centre (PDC), Dow Medical College.
The workshop brought together faculty members, medical professionals, and postgraduate residents to strengthen knowledge and practical skills in hysteroscopy, an important minimally invasive procedure used in modern gynecological practice.
The academic session featured an informative lecture by Dr. Nadeem F. Zubairi, Associate Professor at Aga Khan University Hospital, who spoke on “Safe Hysteroscopy Techniques.” He emphasized the growing importance of minimally invasive surgical procedures in improving patient care, enhancing surgical precision, and supporting advancements in women’s healthcare.
Following the lecture, participants attended a hands-on hysteroscopy training session designed specifically for gynecology residents. The practical training provided participants with valuable clinical exposure, allowing them to develop procedural skills under expert supervision.
Organizers described the workshop as a successful educational initiative that reinforced DUHS’s commitment to advancing medical education, promoting evidence-based clinical practice, and preparing future healthcare professionals with the latest surgical techniques.
