KIND-R Highlights Disability Burden, Strengthens Collaboration at IHRI Event

The Community Relations and Development (CRD) team of the Karachi Institute of Neurological Diseases & Rehabilitation (KIND-R) participated in a program organized by the Indus Hospital & Health Network through its IHRI platform, where experts gathered to discuss key healthcare challenges and collaborative opportunities.

During a panel discussion, Abdul Malik shed light on the growing burden of disability in Pakistan. He emphasized the need for integrated rehabilitation services, early diagnosis, and multi-sector cooperation to improve outcomes for patients and families.

On the sidelines of the event, Prof. Malik presented KIND-Rs institutional portfolio and latest newsletter to Abdul Razzaq Pardesi, Chairman of the IHRI Board, and Naeem Khanani, a board member. The exchange highlighted ongoing efforts to strengthen partnerships within the healthcare community.

He also formally invited IHRIs distinguished representatives to visit KIND-R to gain firsthand insight into the organizations clinical services, rehabilitation programs, and future initiatives aimed at supporting persons with neurological conditions.

Participants appreciated the interaction and expressed interest in continued engagement to advance inclusive and accessible rehabilitation across the country.
