Bilal Colony Police in District Central Karachi foiled an extortion attempt and arrested three suspects following a gunfight late Wednesday night.
According to police officials, the suspects were roaming in the Bilal Colony area allegedly with the intention to carry out an extortion-related crime. Police personnel on routine patrol signaled the men to stop, but instead of complying, the suspects opened fire on the officers and attempted to flee.

The police retaliated promptly, and after a brief exchange of gunfire, all three suspects were apprehended in injured condition. They were found in possession of illegal weapons and were arrested on the spot.

Shayan alias Shanu, son of Nasir

Shaukeen alias Kala, son of Mausam Ali

Suhail alias Mota, son of Wali Muhammad
Law enforcement recovered two 9mm pistols, one .30 bore pistol, and a 125cc motorcycle allegedly used during their criminal activities.
The suspects are believed to be part of a larger extortion ring. An investigation is currently underway to trace the gang’s wider network and connect the arrested individuals to other criminal incidents in the area.
Police officials reiterated their commitment to maintaining public safety and cracking down on extortion rackets across the city.
