Iqbal Center Delegation Thanks KCCI for Prompt Action Following Customs and Rangers Raid

A delegation from Iqbal Center, located on M.A. Jinnah Road, visited the Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI) to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Chambers leadership for their swift and effective response following a recent raid conducted by Customs and Rangers officials. The operation, which took place at Iqbal Center, resulted in the unjust seizure of legal goods from multiple shops, causing concern among traders.

During the meeting, President KCCI Muhammad Jawed Bilwani, Senior Vice President Zia ul Arfeen, Vice President Faisal Khalil, and Chairman of KCCIs Customs & Valuation Subcommittee Arif Lakhani welcomed the Iqbal Center delegation. The visiting representatives included General Secretary Zia Umar Saigul, Joint Secretary Kashif Hanif Magoon, and other stakeholders from the affected commercial center.

The Iqbal Center delegation commended KCCI for its proactive engagement with market representatives and relevant authorities, which helped mitigate the situation and ensured the matter received urgent attention. They acknowledged KCCIs role in upholding the rights of traders and its ongoing efforts to maintain a fair and secure business environment in the city.

President Bilwani emphasized KCCIs unwavering commitment to protecting Karachis commercial interests and preventing such incidents from recurring. We remain in constant contact with both the business community and enforcement agencies to ensure transparency, fairness, and the protection of lawful business operations, he stated.

The Chamber reaffirmed its dedication to supporting all market stakeholders and strengthening the trust between the business sector and regulatory bodies.
