Karachi: Rotary Club District Governor Shakeel Ahmed Kaimkhani has said that Rotary Clubs across Pakistan are playing a vital role in reducing the suffering of underprivileged communities and serving humanity with dedication. He was speaking at the 4th Installation Ceremony of the Rotary Club Karachi Happy Palace held in Karachi.
Addressing the gathering, Kaimkhani highlighted the clubs significant contributions under various welfare initiatives. He revealed that, under the “Gift a Life” project, 4,350 heart surgeries of children have been successfully carried out. He further added that 35,000 people have been provided with artificial limbs, while 800,000 books have been distributed to libraries across the country.
Emphasizing Rotarys commitment to community development, he shared that the organization has also built 20 smart villages equipped with all basic facilities. Appreciating the outstanding efforts of the Rotary Club Karachi Happy Palace, he urged the members to increase the clubs membership to enhance its outreach and service capabilities.
Speaking on the occasion, Maleeha Khan, President of the Rotary Club Karachi Happy Palace, informed the audience about the clubs recent initiatives, including a seminar on dengue awareness and the distribution of 300 free dengue prevention kits. She also announced plans to launch a computer literacy program in the near future to promote digital education.
Farnaz Jabeen, Secretary of the club, presented a comprehensive report on the clubs activities and achievements.
The ceremonys success was largely attributed to the efforts of Durdana Arshad, District Chair Women in Rotary, whose vision and ideas played a pivotal role in organizing the memorable event.

The event was attended by several prominent figures, including DGE Rtn. Shahzad Sabir, PDG Rtn. Saleem Rao, Deputy Governor Rtn. Ali Haider, Assistant Governor Rtn. Momal Khan, Co-Chair District Facilitator Rtn. Ali Hafeez Azmat, Managing Director of Happy Palace Schools Hassan Khan, and Rtn. Sarwat Naseem Shah.
Towards the end of the ceremony, President Maleeha Khan presented a shield of appreciation to District Governor Shakeel Ahmed Kaimkhani in recognition of his leadership and contributions.
