KARACHI: World-renowned electric vehicle manufacturer BYD (Build Your Dreams) has officially launched its latest Shark 6 Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) in Pakistan at a price of PKR 19,950,000.
The launch is considered BYDs most ambitious move yet to establish a foothold in the Pakistani automotive market. The company aims to offer a powerful and modern pickup truck that aligns with Pakistans growing shift toward clean and sustainable transportation.
The Shark 6 PHEV boasts an impressive 436 horsepower and 650 Nm of torque, making it one of the most powerful hybrid vehicles in its class. Equipped with a 29.58 kWh battery, the vehicle offers up to 100 km of pure electric range, while its combined range extends to 800 km.

According to BYD, the Shark 6 delivers fuel efficiency of up to 50 km per liter, an exceptional figure for a vehicle of its size. It also features multiple terrain modes, including mud and snow, to ensure optimal performance in diverse driving conditions.
Industry experts believe the launch of the Shark 6 could be a significant step forward for Pakistans electric and hybrid vehicle market, providing consumers with a powerful, sustainable, and eco-friendly transportation option.
