The Karachi Bar Association has announced its participation in a rally advocating for the protection of the Indus River. The decision was made unanimously, as stated in an official circular issued by the association.
The rally is scheduled to take place onMarch 14, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., beginning atNew Parking Sindh High Courtand concluding atKarachi Press Club. The event coincides with theInternational Day of Action for Rivers, a globally recognized initiative aimed at raising awareness about the preservation of rivers and water resources.
According to the circular, the rally will highlight theurgent need to protect the Indus River, which holdsimmense historical and cultural significance. The event also aims to oppose theillegal allotment of landsalong the river, which threatens its natural ecosystem.
