Greenwich University to Host Panel Discussion on Combating Fake News in the Digital Age Tomorrow

Greenwich University is set to host a significant panel discussion titled Navigating Fake News in the Digital Era tomorrow, Thursday, May 22, 2025.

Organized by the Department of Media, Art & Design, the event will bring together a panel of esteemed journalists, editors, and media professionals to explore the impact of fake news, promote responsible journalism, and discuss strategies to safeguard the truth in an era dominated by digital media.

The discussion will take place from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM at the Auditorium, Greenwich University.

The event is divided into two sessions:

Session 01

Moderator: Dr. Sundus Basharat Ahmad Assistant Professor & Program Manager, International Relations, DHA Suffa University

Panelists:

  • Mubashir Mir Senior Journalist, Analyst & Resident Editor, Daily Pakistan

This session will address the rapid spread of misinformation and the ethical responsibilities of media in ensuring factual reporting.
