The Karachi Bar Association (KBA) has raised serious concerns regarding the deteriorating sanitary conditions within the premises of the City Courts and has formally requested urgent intervention from the Sindh Solid Waste Management Board (SSWMB).
In an official letter addressed to the Managing Director of SSWMB, the KBA highlighted the widespread accumulation of solid waste and garbage throughout the court premises, including court buildings, corridors, inner streets, and adjacent areas. The letter, signed by General Secretary Muhammad Ghulam Rehman Korai, pointed out that the unhygienic environment is not only causing significant discomfort to lawyers, litigants, and staff but also undermining the dignity and decorum of the judicial institution.

The lack of regular cleaning and waste removal poses significant health risks and leaves an extremely poor impression on all visitors, the letter stated. The KBA has called for immediate and comprehensive action, emphasizing the need for the deployment of adequate sanitation staff and resources to maintain cleanliness across the court compound.
The Bar Association expressed hope that swift action will be taken to restore sanitary conditions and uphold the sanctity of the City Courts one of Karachis most important judicial institutions.
The Karachi Bar Association continues to advocate for a clean and dignified environment for the legal community and the general public seeking justice.
