The Consul General of Sri Lanka, Jagath Abeywarna, paid an official visit to the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) to discuss matters of mutual interest and explore avenues for strengthening trade and investment cooperation between the business communities of Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
During the meeting, Consul General Abeywarna engaged in detailed discussions with KCCI leadership on enhancing bilateral economic ties. Senior Vice President Zia ul Arfeen, Vice President Faisal Khalil Ahmed, Former President Majyd Aziz, Chairman of the Diplomatic Missions & Embassies Liaison Subcommittee Ahsan Arshad Sheikh, along with members of the KCCI Managing Committee and other prominent business figures, were also present.
The discussions focused on identifying potential sectors for collaboration, promoting direct business-to-business contacts, and facilitating trade delegations and exhibitions. Both sides expressed optimism about the growing prospects of economic cooperation and agreed to work closely towards realizing the full potential of trade between Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
The visit marks another step forward in the longstanding relationship between the two nations, with a shared commitment to fostering stronger commercial partnerships.
