A delegation from the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), led by Dr. Muhammad Saleem, Additional Director of the Financial Inclusion Support Department, visited the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) to discuss the importance of digitalization in the banking sector, with a special focus on the RAAST service.
The meeting was attended by Senior Vice President KCCI Zia ul Arfeen, Vice President KCCI Faisal Khalil Ahmed, Chairman Banking & Insurance Subcommittee Asim Aejaz, Deputy Chief Manager, Financial Inclusion Division SBP Sara Sajjad, Assistant Chief Manager, Financial Inclusion Division SBP Rahat Jamil, Deputy Director, Financial Inclusion Support Department SBP Muhammad Arif, Officer, Financial Inclusion Division SBP Waqar Bukhari, along with representatives from various commercial banks.
During the session, the SBP delegation highlighted the benefits of digital banking services, emphasizing the need for financial inclusion and the seamless transactions facilitated by RAAST. The discussion also underscored how technological advancements can improve banking efficiency and accessibility for businesses and individuals alike.
The KCCI representatives welcomed the initiative and assured their support in raising awareness about digital banking among the business community.
