Naseer Soomro hailed from Shikarpur, Sindh , but resided in Karachi, where he was honored with an honorary position at Pakistan International Airlines (PIA). Due to his extraordinary height, he gained national and international recognition, bringing pride to Pakistan.

Previously, Alam Channa was recognized as Pakistans tallest man. After his passing, Naseer Soomro became known for his remarkable height. Later, Zia Rasheed from Multan , who stands 8 feet tall, was recognized as the countrys tallest man.

Naseer Soomro had been suffering from respiratory problems and joint pain for a long time. He was also a victim of fake news in the past. In May 2019, rumors about his death went viral on social media. However, French news agency AFP later confirmed that these reports were false.
