KARACHI: Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori held a meeting with Ameen Rajput, the Managing Director of Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC), to discuss the ongoing gas supply issues in the city. The discussion focused on the unavailability of gas, especially during SehriandIftarhours, as well as ensuring uninterrupted gas supply to industrial areas.
Governor Sindh emphasized the need to provide gas without any disruptions duringSehriandIftarto facilitate residents observing Ramadan. He also stressed the importance of ensuring an uninterrupted gas supply to industries to support economic activities.
MD SSGC, Ameen Rajput, stated that the meeting was held following the directives of the Prime Minister, who instructed officials to work with the Governor of Sindh to resolve the gas supply crisis. Rajput assured that efforts were being made to ensure a steady supply of gas duringSehriandIftarin Karachi.
“There were some issues on the first day of Ramadan, but the situation has improved significantly. Necessary measures are also being taken to provide gas to industrial areas without disruptions,” he added.
The meeting concluded with a commitment to addressing the gas shortage and ensuring smooth supply during peak hours for both residents and industries in Karachi.
