Consultative Session Held on UN List of Issues Concerning Child Rights ConventionThe Federal Ministry of Human Rights, in collaboration with the Treaty Implementation Cell of the Human Rights Department, Government of Sindh, organized a consultative session to discuss the UN List of Issues related to Pakistans combined 6th and 7th Periodic Reports on the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC).

The session was chaired byMr. Rajvir Singh Sodha, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Sindh for the Human Rights Department, and was attended by representatives from24 departments of the Government of Sindh.

The consultation aimed to review and address key concerns highlighted by the UN regarding Pakistans commitments under the CRC. Discussions focused on the implementation of child rights policies, existing challenges, and the way forward in ensuring the protection and promotion of childrens rights across the province.

Government officials emphasized the importance of inter-departmental collaboration to strengthen child welfare initiatives and align national efforts with international commitments. The session served as a platform for meaningful dialogue and strategizing future actions to improve child rights policies in Pakistan.
