The 1295th annual Urs celebrations of the revered Sufi saint Hazrat Abdullah Shah Ghazi commenced in Karachi on Tuesday morning with a grand and spiritually uplifting ceremony. Acting Governor of Sindh, Syed Owais Qadir Shah, presided over the event, officially initiating the festivities by laying a ceremonial cloth on the saints shrine.
A large number of devotees, religious scholars, and government officials participated in the ceremony. Among the notable attendees were Chief Administrator of Auqaf Farooq Shehzad Qureshi, Manager Pinhon Khan, and staff member Muhammad Akram Khan, who extended a warm welcome to the guests.

During the ceremony, the Acting Governor offered heartfelt prayers for the peace, prosperity, and development of the nation. Syed Owais Qadir Shah reiterated the Sindh governments dedication to improving facilities for pilgrims at significant spiritual sites. He commended the efforts of the Department of Auqaf and other relevant institutions in ensuring respectful, secure, and well-maintained environments for all visitors.
The land of Sindh has long been a symbol of generosity and spiritual enlightenment, said the Acting Governor. It is through the teachings of great Sufi saints like Hazrat Abdullah Shah Ghazi that our society continues to draw strength in compassion and unity.
