Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has issued strict directives for immediate implementation of new traffic regulations, targeting illegal parking and violations of vehicle registration rules.

As part of the new measures, parking has been completely prohibited on I.I. Chundrigar Road from Shaheen Complex to Tower, as well as on Mohammed Bin Qasim Road to Dr. Ziauddin Road up to S.M. Law College. The Chief Minister has been informed that no vehicle will be allowed to park on footpaths or roads in these areas, and violators will face legal consequences.

The Sindh CM has also directed that vehicles with fancy or unauthorized number plates be seized immediately, and the crackdown on unregistered and substandard number plates is ongoing. Only vehicles bearing standard government-issued number plates will be allowed to operate.

In an effort to provide alternative parking solutions, the Chief Minister was informed that vehicles may be parked at the nearby Railway Ground.

“All violators of traffic laws will be dealt with strictly, and legal action against illegal parking will be taken without delay,” said CM Shah.

Following these directives, Karachi Traffic Police has launched a full-scale operation, confirmed DIG Traffic. The campaign is aimed at restoring order on key city roads and reducing congestion caused by illegal and haphazard parking practices.

These steps are part of a broader initiative by the Sindh government to enhance urban mobility and ensure smoother commuting for the city’s residents.
