The Excise and Taxation Department has announced a two-month relaxation in the biometric verification requirement for the transfer of vehicle ownership in Sindh.
According to an official notification, the condition requiring biometric verification of the vehicle seller has been temporarily waived. Citizens can now transfer ownership of vehicles registered in Sindh using only the sellers Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) until August 14, 2025.

This initiative has been taken to facilitate the public and streamline the transfer process, especially for those facing difficulties in completing biometric verification on time.
A spokesperson from the Excise Department emphasized that this is a time-bound concession, and citizens are encouraged to make use of the facility before the deadline.
