KARACHI: The Sindh Food Authority (SFA) launched a surprise inspection campaign targeting milk sellers across various areas of the Kemari district, including Pak Colony, Baldia Colony, Metroville, and the Site Area.
The operation was initiated under the directives of Special Assistant to the Chief Minister for Food, Abdul Jabbar Khan, and SFA Director General Asif Jan Siddiqui. Led by Deputy Director Bashir Khan, the campaign aimed to ensure the quality and hygiene of milk being sold to consumers.

During the inspections, milk samples were collected from multiple vendors and sent to the University of Karachis laboratory for detailed analysis.
Deputy Director Bashir Khan stated that vendors found selling adulterated or substandard milk would be penalized once the laboratory results are received. Additionally, businesses failing to meet basic hygiene standards were fined on the spot.
Khan reaffirmed the Sindh Food Authoritys commitment to strict enforcement of food safety laws, emphasizing that measures against the production and sale of substandard food items will continue across the province.
