Karachi: Greenwich University held its Spring 2026 orientation ceremony at its campus, warmly welcoming new students and their families to the beginning of a new academic journey. The event was attended by students, parents, faculty members, and university officials.
Addressing the gathering, Dean of Management Sciences & Information Services, Dr. Muhammad Shaiq, congratulated the incoming batch and encouraged them to embrace the opportunities ahead. You have entered a vibrant university and community. As the dean, I’m thrilled to see you embark on this exciting journey. You are about to experience a transformative time, academically, personally, and professionally, he said.
Dr. Shaiq described the university as a hub of innovation, diversity, and growth, where students will engage with experienced faculty, explore cutting-edge research, and connect with peers from diverse backgrounds. He urged students to be bold, take risks, and actively explore their passions. Get involved in clubs, volunteer, and build relationships that will last a lifetime. Our faculty and staff are here to support you, dont hesitate to reach out. Lets make the most of this journey together, he added.
Meanwhile, Dean of the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Humanities, Dr. Naazir Mahmood, moderated an interactive session with alumni during the ceremony. He emphasized the universitys commitment to nurturing leadership qualities by providing an academic environment supported by faculty of international standards.
Dr. Mahmood advised students to remain resilient in the face of challenges and to seek help whenever needed. You will face challenges, but dont be afraid to ask for help. You will grow, learn, and evolve in ways you cant imagine. When you look back, you will realize that it was worth it, he said.
He further encouraged students to take full advantage of the state-of-the-art facilities available at the university.
The orientation ceremony concluded with an atmosphere of enthusiasm and optimism as the Spring 2026 batch officially began their academic journey at Greenwich University.
