A fire that broke out on Sunday night at an electronics market near Regal Chowk in Karachis Saddar area was successfully brought under control after several hours of firefighting. Fortunately, no casualties were reported as the market was closed at the time of the incident.
According to initial reports, the blaze erupted suddenly in the mezzanine floor of the market, where several warehouses were located. Fire brigade officials stated that the fire was caused by an electrical short circuit in the wiring system.

Upon receiving the emergency call, two water bowsers and three fire tenders were dispatched to the scene. Firefighters focused their efforts on preventing the fire from spreading to the nearby storage units and surrounding residential flats.
As a precaution, residential apartments located on the upper floors of the market building were evacuated to ensure the safety of the occupants. After hours of continuous effort, fire crews were able to contain the flames and prevent further damage.
Authorities are currently assessing the extent of the damage and investigating the exact cause of the fire.
