Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) has officially launched the e-Doctors 2.0 Certification Coursea self-paced, online training initiative aimed at revitalizing clinical competencies in primary care through a comprehensive Family Medicine approach.
The launch event, held at the Karachi Press Club, was presided over by Interim Vice Chancellor Prof. Jahan Ara Hasan, whose visionary leadership played a pivotal role in bringing the course to fruition. The ceremony was attended by course committee members, DUHS faculty, and representatives from partnering organizations, highlighting the collaborative effort behind this transformative educational initiative.
Developed in technical partnership with EduCast and supported by the Islamic Development Bank, the program is part of a broader national strategy to strengthen Pakistans digital health infrastructure and primary healthcare systems.
Speaking at the event, Prof. Hasan emphasized the significance of accessible, high-quality medical education in shaping the future of healthcare in Pakistan. This course is a major stride towards digitalizing clinical training and making continuous medical education more inclusive and effective, she said.
